Residential Water Demand
State/Territory: ACT

This research analyses the relationship between household water use and a selection of household characteristics. This analysis provides a basis for developing policy to reduce household demand for water. Regression analysis is used to measure the direction and strength of the relationships. Cognitive dissonance and receptivity analysis provide a framework for the analysis of water users' adoption of water conservation innovations. This research examines how demand side policies might be made more effective.
